Spring Foraging Class April 19th 11am Columbus collab with Lempira goods!

$79.00

Join me in the majestic hardwood forests of Ohio this spring, as we dive deep into the landscape in a new way! We are going to learn all about the flowers, plants and fungi native to our landscapes, Where and how to find and identify them, why they are important and how we can play a positive role in our forests, meadows and wetlands. This season, there is a big emphasis on morels, ramps and spring ephemeral flowers!

This class is 2.5 to 3 hours long.

1 week before the class, I will send out an email with the meetup location, typically within 30 minutes of Columbus, if it is longer than that, I will put the general location in the title of the class and in the heading of the email.

We will start with a guided nature walk in search of wild and edible plants, fruit, nuts and fungi! After the hike, we will all sit down to lunch, this lunch will reflect the flora of the season and highlight a lot of plants we saw on the hike. This meal is typically vegetarian and dietary restrictions are accommodated.

this class is special as we are going to be collabing with lempira goods to put a Honduran spin on our native wild foods!

Lempira Goods(@lempiragoods_614 on Instagram) is a local Honduran food business that offers catering, cooking classes, and products like hot sauces and baked goods. Using mostly local, in season, and sometimes foraged ingredients, the focus of Lempira Goods is to introduce people to the incredibly diverse culinary world of Honduras.

After Class, I will send out an email, recapping what we learned and provide resources that i use, that will assist you on your foraging journey!
