Water, bug spray, and comfortable shoes for hiking. Dress for the weather and a lawn chair or blanket would be a good idea, we try to find places that have picnic tables, but it does not always work out.

30-45 min outside of Columbus. Sometimes on private land, sometimes at State parks near Columbus.

The week leading up to the class.

You may bring your children to the class, provided you are responsible for watching them and ensuring their safety. If the class is not a children’s class, the content will be directed more towards adults. If the children are having any issues being loud, we ask that you hang back a bit to avoid disrupting the class.

I don’t go on any difficult trails, but we do spend over an hour hiking on trails of different, unpaved terrain. Young and old have taken my class, so do not worry!

Our public classes entail a 1.5 hour guided hike followed by a wild food lunch and attendees go home with a goodie bag.

Yes of course, I could arrange a private outing or a private wild food dinner.

I don’t take classes out to the woods larger than 8-10 students.

Class will not cancel for rain or any weather excluding emergencies. Please prepare by bringing a rain jacket and weather-appropriate clothing and shoes.
